Redemptio Privacy Policy
**Last updated:** October 2, 2026
**Operated by:** Cooper River Trading Co., South Carolina ("we," "us," "our")
We treat your information like a medical record. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it. Plain English — no fine-print games.
---
1. What we collect
**From the intake form:**
- Your legal name and any other names you've used (maiden, former)
- Email address and phone number
- State of residence
- Case details you provide: outcome (dismissed, expunged, conviction), year of arrest/case
- Links to where your information appears online
- What outcome you're hoping for (jobs, housing, general cleanup)
**During your case:**
- Copies of removal/correction requests we send on your behalf
- Responses from websites and publishers
- Notes on case progress
- Payment records (amount, date, method — we never see or store your bank credentials)
**Automatically:** We collect the minimum technical data needed to run the website (e.g., basic server logs). We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell data to data brokers — that would make us the thing we're fighting.
2. Why we collect it
Solely to evaluate and perform your case: review your situation, find your hits, send requests, track results, communicate with you, and process payment. Nothing else. We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build profiles on you, and we do not share it with anyone except as described below.
3. What we NEVER do
- **Never sell** your information. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Ever.
- **Never share** your case details publicly. Testimonials and case studies require your prior written consent, and are anonymized by default.
- **Never disclose** your information to third parties except: (a) the websites/publishers we contact on your behalf as part of your case (only the minimum needed for the request); (b) if required by law (court order, subpoena — and we will notify you first unless legally prohibited); (c) to protect against fraud or abuse of the service.
- **Never use** your information for any purpose other than your case without your explicit permission.
4. How we protect it
- Access is limited to the people actively working your case.
- We do not include your personal information in logs, test data, or analytics.
- Payment happens through Venmo, Zelle, or Cash App — we never handle your bank login credentials.
- If we discover a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you within 72 hours.
5. How long we keep it
- **Active case data:** kept for the duration of your case plus the 90-day monitoring period.
- **After completion:** we retain a minimal case record (your name, case summary, outcome) for 2 years for our own records and to answer your follow-up questions, then delete it.
- **Payment records:** kept as long as required by tax law (generally 7 years), containing only amount, date, and method — no account credentials.
6. Your rights
You may at any time:
- **Ask what we have:** request a copy of all information we hold about you.
- **Correct it:** ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
- **Delete it:** request deletion of your information. We will comply within 30 days, except for records we're legally required to keep (see Section 5). Note: deleting your information mid-case means we cannot continue working your case.
- **Withdraw testimonial consent:** if you agreed to a testimonial, you may revoke it anytime; we remove it within 10 business days.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information on our website. We will verify your identity before releasing or deleting anything.
7. Children's privacy
This service is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn we have, we delete it immediately.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted on our website with a new "last updated" date. The version in effect when you submitted your case governs that case's data.
9. Contact
Privacy questions or requests: Cooper River Trading Co., South Carolina — use the contact information on our website. We respond to privacy requests within 15 business days.
